I think most of us got a little discouraged with Faulkner (I made it through the first two, but puttered out about halfway through Light in August.) I can definitely understand why Faulkner is regarded as one of the American masters- I loved his word choices and the poetry- but I really didn't gel well with the books. Maybe in a little while I can pick up LIA again and enjoy it more.
Someone reported in ohnotheydidnt that the new book will be announced tomorrow.
According to this source, it's going to be A Million Little Pieces by James Frey. I'm excited. This book has been on my "to read" list for awhile now- so it just got bumped to the top. Hopefully, we'll have a little more luck discussing this one as a group!
I have a hard time keeping up with two books at once (one always gets abandoned...) so I have to hurry and finish, "The Unbearable Lightness of Being so I can start the new one.
What have you guys been reading in the meantime?
